you seem to think that hardcore and melodic death metal are related, if you were a real metalhead you'd know that was false, hardcore not being any kind of metal, just because somthing is melodic does not mean its not metalyou're named plague angel, black metal is plenty melodic its self, though Marduk not so much

They are thrash but are more melodic than traditional thrash, take a listen to their first album it's probably the closest thing you will get to thrash with the haunted... Their latest albums Revolver, The Dead Eye and Versus are somewhat thrash as well. Try not to make your judgement on videos that have been released by the label because it will always be a track that has more of an accepting sound.

After Revolver the band went downhill. They just kept improving, but then The Dead Eye was released and as great as it was, they it lacked compared to Revolver, and Versus was not nearly as good as I hoped. Moronic Colosus and Iron Mask are the only stand out songs on that record, and when there are only two notable songs you can tell that you're in trouble.
