This is what I saw in May of 1972 whenhe warmed up for Frank Zappa at the Providence Civic Center which was new.I think the ticket cost all of $5.50.They don't play like this anymore.

Mos Def And Jill Scott and other Sampled this cut, its on the intro to the movie Biker Boys. This is the stuff, this is real Jazz right here all the new stuff sounds the same. everyone plays the same crap afraid to branch out.

Jerry Goodman went on to do MANY things, including movie scores and several albums under his own name with a fantastic group of Chicago musicians. Check out "It's Alive" which is the best of the bunch. He also played with The Dregs for a while and did an album with Steve Smith.
