@00phil1966 ... Hi, this song is from Josh Haden, son of Charlie Haden. J. Cash didn't write it... but his interpretation is absolutely beautiful, he made this song his own.For all who like this song, please listen to the version of Pat Metheny and Charlie Haden on the album "Beyond the Missouri Sky"... it was a musical revelation to me. The beauty of this music and poem is beyond words. I'm not a God believer but Pat and Charlie version is my favorite tune of all time. A spiritual journey.
